Alex Teixeira Santos or simply Alex Teixeira (born January 6, 1990 in Duque de Caxias), is a Brazilian attacking midfielder, who currently plays for Shakhtar Donetsk.

Career

Teixeira was promoted to the senior squad for the tour of Dubai in January 2008. On 21 December 2009, the 19 year old attacking midfielder left Vasco to join FC Shakhtar Donetsk,[1] the player paid around 6 million euros and has signed a five year deal with his new club.[2]
